The Good Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psalms‬ ‭23:1KJV‬‬

Good Morning Beautiful,

There is nothing too big or hard for God to do! The song that comes to mind this morning is You’re Bigger by Jekalyn Carr. I love this song because God truly is bigger than any circumstances we face here on this earth.

God is our shepherd because He protects and leads us. God knows His sheep and the things that we need in this life. He makes no mistakes when it comes to the life that He wants for us. God says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep” (John‬ ‭10:11‬ ‭KJV); “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine” (John‬ ‭10:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬).

God knows us by name, and He wants to lead us through the door that leads us in the way of everlasting. We have to let God be our shepherd meaning that we have to submit to His leadership. Trust goes both ways, and we have to be in a place where not inky we trust God but that He trusts in us. Only God can guide us through the valley and safeguard us from our enemies (see psalms 23 4,5 KJV).

God sees and hears all things, and there isn’t a request made to Him that He doesn’t already know. I pray this morning that God shepherds you–leading you down the correct paths and guiding you through the parts that may seem scary, uncertain, and confusing. I pray that your heart will be open to Him and that your trust in Him will grow stronger and more secure as you continue to see the hands of God in your life.

  2. Knowing the promises, how can your trust grow stronger and more secure in God?
