My Favorite Verse: Part II

But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

1 Peter‬ ‭2:9-10‬ ‭MSG‬

Good Morning Beautiful,

I love this verse because it screams CHOSEN. When I read this verse, it shows me that God can use me. Too often, we feel that we have to be perfect or have things right to be noticed by God. The truth is, God already sees us, and He has called us out by name to do the work in which He has called us to do.

God doesn’t care about your age, race, socioeconomic status, gender, or disabilities. God cares about your heart, and He sees the abilities that you have that make you strong for His kingdom. To the world, we may be disadvantaged, but to God, we are the standard. Therefore, He uses us to spread His message.

I love at the end of verse 10, it says, “tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted” (1 Peter 2:10). God is in the business of elevating you and changing you for His glory. Right, when you feel as though there is no way out, God shows up, and there is a testimony to be shared.

I believe that God works in impossible situations to show us hope and show us that things can be made possible through Him.

Digging deeper discussion question
