The God I See

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

Job‬ ‭42:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Good Morning Beautiful,

How beautiful it must be to see God showing up in your life. To finally see that what you went through wasn’t for nothing but that it served a much higher purpose in your life, and now there is evidence to prove it!

One of the many reasons I love this verse (Job 42:5) has a lot to do with experience and the opportunity to see God’s hands in my life. For me, my most exceptional testimony is when God freed me from depression. I remember the moment when God unshielded my eyes, and for the first time in a long time, I saw the light. My world changed, and I learned that God is love.

Sometimes we have to understand that God drives the storms we are going through. Like Job, God allowed him to go through hardships on this earth, and as a result, Job became an experienced Christian– not just a follower but an experienced one.

At the time, I was going through depression; I didn’t understand why I had to go through it, and there were moments when I interpreted It as a punishment. Like maybe I was this horrible person who deserved to go through this, but when God uncovered my eyes, at that moment, I believed harder and stronger than ever that there was a God and that He loved me.

Not only that, but it ignited a passion for helping others as I now understand the realness of mental health. I stand at the forefront, helping others in my community as they fight to be overcomers of their depression, anxiety, fears, etc. This was God’s purpose for me!

God loves you! And He is in the storm with you. God wants to show up in your life, and I believe that He is doing it every day, but are you still focusing on trying to hear, or are you ready to see?
