The Intentions of Your Heart

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Good Morning Beautiful,

Have you ever asked yourself why you do the things that you do? What motivated you to keep going? Or better yet, what are your real intentions?

God sees, and He knows everything. He can see our hearts in a way that we never will. God knows if the way that we serve Him is pure or if it’s just for show. God wants faithful followers, people who will love Him for who He is and not for what He can do.

This morning scripture shows how we are to serve God; heartily. We are supposed to do everything unto God and not to man. Yet we put so much time trying to prove to people in this world that we belong.

God sees your heart, and He sees every desire and every need. God can, and He will allow you to have things, but the God that we serve is so gracious and merciful that He doesn’t want those “things” to damage us. He wants us to be kept safe from harm, which means not always getting what we want.

However, God is more concerned about your heart, and He doesn’t want the promise to overshadow Him in the sense that you forget who sent the blessings. This morning, pray and ask God to show you your true intentions because the storm you may be experiencing is to reveal your heart. What are your intentions?
