Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shinning of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way.
Psalm 16:11
Good Morning Beautiful,
You don’t have to look like what you have been through because God will give you the grace to make it to the other side. God has called us to be radiant in this walk we call life. You have a purpose, and God’s job is to bring it out.
I love this morning’s verse because when it says in psalm 16:11, “Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way,” it reminds me that when I came into Christ and took ahold of God’s hand, my life became a life that would be pleasing to Him. I may not have imagined what that life would look like, but God has been so patient with me, and even at times when I failed or tried to step away because things became too complicated, God was still there extending His hand for me.
God never gave up on me, and He will not give up on you!
When life is uncertain
At times, serving God can feel as though you are on this tipsy turvy roller coaster that is never-ending— where at times, it is enjoyable, especially for those who like the thrill and the excitement. Whereas for others, we can skip the sudden drops and not know what to expect with each turn and flip that comes with the ride.
Life is a roller coaster of uncertainty. You never fully know the outcome until it happens. In the meantime, you are left asking yourself these questions: “will I enjoy this?” “Am I making the right decision?” “What will others say or think about me?” “Can I make it through?”
It’s easy to look at someone else’s life and feel everything is going well for them because from the outside looking in, it seems they are enjoying everything that comes their way. For yourself, it feels that you can’t get a grip on what is taking place. You experience anxiety and nervousness.
When the wind and the waves obey
Often, I have to remind myself that God can work in all things and through all things because He is all things! There is nothing in this life that God can not handle. So, yes, He can calm the tipsy turvy rollercoaster we call life.
Knowing that God has the power to calm anything that becomes boisterous or uncontrollable isn’t a new thing. Psalms 107:29 says, “He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.” God has the power to control our lives and prepare us for what is to come. My favorite quote is, “Sometimes God calms the storm, but sometimes God lets the storm rage and calms His child.“-Leslie Gould
Either way, when God is in it, He will not leave you to your own devices trying to figure out how to survive on your own.
God’s Radiance
Taking this morning’s scripture, “Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way.” Psalm 16:11
God will never leave you empty-handed or left not knowing what to do. God will make your crooked roads straight and bring you back to the path He has for You!
Don’t let the uncertainty of life put fear in your heart and have you feeling that there is no way out. Stop comparing your life to the lives of others because God made you with a purpose, and therefore He created a path just for you that will fulfill that purpose.
With every step, you will be radiant, and the light of Christ will shine in you and through you, but the key is that Christ has to be in the midst of it all. We can not put Jesus down the minute things go right in our lives. If anything, we have to work harder, knowing that God got us to where we are today, so He is the one who gets the praise.
When life gets you down, know that you have a foundation to stand on, and that is Christ! God’s promise in Hebrews 13:5 says, “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
God isn’t looking for perfection but a willingness to be imperfect going through His perfect plan for your life.
