God’s Gift to you: A promise that will not fail

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Luke 11:13 KJV

Good Morning Beautiful,

This morning, I had to do some deep self-reflection because lately, I have dealt with anxiety and racing thoughts. It seems nearly impossible at times to push through and break free. My mind is stuck on the idea that “I’ll never have my moment.” This year is another hopeless year that has been filled with disappointment, one after the other.

I have believed that I can’t have what I have been praying for to God. I know it is a lie, but it is still a thought that seems very real to me. Maybe you have similar experiences. This year doesn’t seem to be going the way you predicted or expected, and it feels as though it has been a waste. This form of thinking is what I call being negative, and it is a pattern that I am too familiar with, but I choose to break this cycle this morning. I hope you will join in breaking it with me.

Breaking free

If there is anything that I know about serving God is that He will not lead you astray. God wants to draw us closer to Him and be our shield, “Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word” (Psalm 119:114).

So, in prayer this morning, I chose to lay down my fears before God. Fears concerning my future and the anxiety that I feel because I lack control in certain areas of my life. I laid down my worry because I am unsure what will happen next as I walk through God’s doors. Today, I declared over my life that “My moment has not passed me by! I will get through this.”

This truth is the same for you today, “Your moment has not passed you by!!!” We all have dreams that we want to see come true. As it says in Luke 11:13, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

God is not short of His promises to you, but we have to understand that It’s more to the blessing than receiving it. God doesn’t want us to walk in what is ours and then lose it because we were ill-equipped. We have to be willing to go through the process that makes us ready to receive all that God has in store for His children.

Good News

This year hasn’t been disappointing, just unexpecting. If we truly fix our eyes on Jesus, we can see that God has not left our sides. This year is not over, and in a moment, your situation can change, and you can go from praying about it to walking in it! Your moment has not passed you by so, don’t lose hope; your time is coming, and God will be waiting with joy in His heart seeing you walk through every door that He has for you.

Reflect

  1. It’s so easy to rely on your current situation because of what you have experienced in the past but God is reminding you today that He is your hope and your strength. Anchor your hope to Jesus today!
